BOWLING GREEN, Ky. | Jaycee Coe scored 19 points to lead NCAA Division I's Western Kentucky University to a 98-51 women's basketball exhibition victory over Young Harris College Thursday (Nov. 3) evening at E.A. Diddle Arena.
The Mountain Lions return to action Saturday (Nov. 5) with a 7 p.m. exhibition game against NCAA Division I's Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.
"We played hard," said Young Harris head coach
Matt Stearsman. "Western Kentucky has been picked to win Conference USA and were ranked second in a mid-major poll. We absolutely competed. I'm very proud of every player on our team."
Ivy Brown added 18 points and six rebounds for the Hilltoppers, while Tashia Brown and Kayla Smith tossed in 15 points apiece. Tashia Brown also grabbed eight rebounds.
Meredith Tarver led the YHC attack with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Dyiesha Brown tallied 12 points while
Bria Ratliff contributed eight more.Â
