AIKEN, S.C. | The Young Harris College men's soccer team picked up a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference victory over the University of South Carolina Aiken Wednesday (Sept. 23) afternoon at the Pacer Pit.
 
The 24th-ranked Mountain Lions picked up their 20th consecutive PBC regular-season victory and improved to 5-1-0 overall and to 2-0-0 in the league. The Pacers fell to 2-2-2 and 0-1-0. This was a rematch of last season's PBC Tournament Championship match that Young Harris won 1-0 in overtime. The Mountain Lions remain on the road as they travel to St. Augustine, Florida, at face Flagler College at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 26).
 
Young Harris opened up a 1-0 lead with eight minutes remaining before the half as Macauley King collected a corner kick in the center of the box and passed it to Tom Joslin, who scored his team-leading fifth goal of 2015. The Mountain Lions doubled their advantage on Paco Craig's header off a Lewis Hilton free kick from midfield. It was Craig's first goal of the season and Hilton's team-leading fourth assist.
 
Gabriel Locher got a goal back for the Pacers at the 64:52 mark as his header from 15 yards out as Young Harris goalkeeper Jordan Bradshaw tried to clear the ball. Young Harris made it 3-1 with just under 11 minutes remaining as Piers Oldland beat his man and delivered the ball Mikie Rowe in front of the goal. It was Rowe's third goal of the season.
 
Young Harris held an 8-6 advantage on shots. Bradshaw finished with four saves in goal, while Andre Bernardini and Chase Boulton each had one for the Pacers.
