COLUMBIA, S.C. – KaDeeja Vaughn and London Richardson each scored 10 points as Benedict College defeated Young Harris College 59-40 in a non-conference women's basketball game Tuesday (Nov. 25) evening at the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Benedict improved to 3-0 while the Mountain Lions fell to 2-2. Young Harris returns to the YHC Basketball Arena Monday (Dec. 1) with a 6 p.m. non-conference contest against Mars Hill University.
Benedict led from start to finish as Young Harris struggled in the first half as they only hit four field goals and shot 21.0 percent from the floor as the Tigers took a 27-14 lead at the half. The Tigers extended their lead to as many as 24 points (59-35) in the second half.
Peyton Robertson led the Mountain Lions with seven points while Briana Bell had six. Shereese Williams and Chan Fann contributed five each.
