WILSON, N.C. – Taylor Parrish scored twice in the first half as Barton College recorded a 3-0 non-conference women's soccer victory over Young Harris College Sunday (Sept. 15) afternoon at the Barton Soccer Field.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-2-0 while the Mountain Lions fell to 2-2-0. Young Harris returns home to the YHC Lacrosse Field Saturday (Sept. 21) when they open its Peach Belt Conference schedule against cross-mountain rival University of North Georgia at 1:30 p.m.

Barton took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Taylor Parrish at the 22:48 mark. Parrish dribbled past an YHC defender and shot from close range on the left side. Parrish scored 12 minutes later as she tapped in a rebound of Jodi Barber's initial shot. The Bulldogs added an insurance goal from Kathryn Smith with just over three minutes left in the match.

Young Harris goalkeeper Taylor Erickson recorded 10 saves while Carson Moore stopped seven for Barton.
