SAVANNAH, Ga. –No. 16 Armstrong Atlantic State University recorded a 7-1 Peach Belt Conference women's soccer victory over Young Harris College Saturday (Oct. 12) afternoon at the Armstrong Soccer Field.
Armstrong improved to 6-1-3 overall and to 4-1-1 in the Peach Belt while the Mountain Lions fell to 3-8-0 and 0-6-0. Young Harris will host Georgia Gwinnett College Wednesday (Oct. 16) at 4 p.m.
The Pirates took a 4-0 lead before Candace Edwards scored her team-leading sixth goal at the 67:50 mark. Edwards beat the Armstrong netminder and knocked the ball into the upper corner of the goal.
Yustin Nambo tallied 13 saves in her first start in goal this season for the Mountain Lions.
