Mountain Lions end season with loss at USC-Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. The Young Harris College baseball team ended the season on Monday night with a 5-0 loss to Peach Belt Conference member USC-Aiken at Roberto Hernandez Stadium.

USC-Aiken (28-20) opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning off Young Harris starting pitcher Josh Rudnik as the Pacers loaded the bases, but got a run on two hits to grab an early 1-0 lead.

The Pacers scored a run in the second, one in the fourth and extended the lead to 5-0 with a pair of runs in the fifth.

Young Harris (28-22) had a chance to cut the deficit in the seventh as Trey Rogers, who went 2-for-5, singled up the middle and advanced to second when Adam Moore reached on an infield hit with two outs.
