PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Young Harris College women’s soccer team won saw their four-match winning streak snapped as the University of West Florida shut out the Mountain Lions 2-0 Wednesday (Oct. 5) at the UWF Soccer Complex.

The Mountain Lions fell to 8-3-0 while the Argos won their fourth consecutive match to improve to 6-2-2. Young Harris returns to action October 13 when they host Tusculum College in a 3 p.m. match at the Frances Wood Wilson Soccer Field.

The Argos broke the scoreless tie in the 24th minute, when Taylor Harbison was fouled in the penalty area, leading to a penalty kick by Jordan Stone. In the second half, the Argos scored their second goal as Tina Murray had her shot rebound to the right and Alex Pickrell converted the rebound to make the score 2-0.
