HARROGATE, Tenn. - Lincoln Memorial struck for two first-half goals and added a pair in the second half to defeat Young Harris College, 4-0, Thursday night.
The Mountain Lions (0-1) has 12 total shots, with four coming on frame. 
Allie Matulia recorded six saves in goal for Young Harris, while three Lady Railsplitters had three in net - Sarah Thompson (50 minutes), Ashley Wallace (14 minutes) and Emma Miller (25 minutes) to maintain the shutout.
Lincoln Memorial (1-0) opened the scoring in the seventh minute as Leanne Reid's long shot found the top left corner for the goal. She added to her total with a second goal in the 20th minute off a corner kick by Sarah Taylor and Becky Thompson. The Lady Railsplitters tailed their third goal in the 46th minutes as Becky Thompson found the back of the net on an assist by Taylor. Taylor rounded out the scoring in the 48th minute with a goal.
The Mountain Lions return to action with the home opener noon, Sunday, Sept. 5 against St. Catharine College.
