ANDERSON, S.C. – Lasse Sohrweide scored a pair of first-half goals as the Anderson University men’s soccer team blanked Young Harris Thursday night, 6-0.

The Mountain Lions (0-3-3) fell behind 1-0 in the eighth minute as Ryan Messick’s shot was chipped over Young Harris goalkeeper Wezley Barnard and into the goal to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead.

Sohrweide scored a pair of goals, first in the 15^th minute off an assist from Zach Denson. His second goal came in the 28^th minute as the ball bounced off Barnard and into the back of the goal to help Anderson to a 3-0 advantage.

The Trojans (3-2-1) added two more goals before the half as Mark Smith scored in the 29^th minute off an assist by Daniel Bowers and Clement Samson found the back of the net in the 37^th minute from a pass by Ryan Messick.

Denson scored on assist by Sohrweide in the 61^st minute to complete the scoring.

Anderson out-shot Young Harris, 17-6, and had the edge in corner kicks, 4-1.

Barnard finished with three saves, while Lukas Hesse recorded three in goal for the Trojans.

The Mountain Lions travel 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22 to Marietta, Ga., to take on Southern Polytechnic State University.
