Young Harris College Athletics

Wayne McCullough joined the Young Harris College athletic staff in October 2024 and brings a wealth of experience in leadership, operations, and safety. A 27-year retired U.S. Army Master Aviator, McCullough served as an AH-64 Apache pilot and the lead drone targeting officer during his distinguished military career. Following his service, he spent four years as a facility safety officer within the health care system, further honing his expertise in operations and risk management.

Wayne has been married to his wife, Crystal, Young Harris College’s Director of Sports Performance, for 30 years. They are proud parents to their son Morgan, a student at the University of Tennessee and one of the world’s top Olympic weightlifters as a member of Team USA.
