Spencer Mathis begins his second year as the Director of the Media and Communications Department at Young Harris College.
Mathis was promoted from the Assistant in Sports Communications to the Director of Media and Communications in January 2025 by Aaron Bessey.
In his new role he will oversee various aspects of the department, including managing communications for 18 intercollegiate sports, maintaining statistics and records, and supervising the department's social media and online presence.
Mathis graduated from Young Harris College with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies in 2023. Spencer has been a valuable asset to the department since his freshman year as a student worker in the athletic department for all four years.
