Nick Jaramillo is beginning his second stint with the Young Harris College men's and women's soccer program.
Jaramillo returns to the Enchanted Valley after spending the 2018 season as an assistant women's soccer coach at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. The Buccaneers went 16-1-1 and won the Sunshine State Conference regular season and tournament titles. Barry earned the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament.
Prior to Barry, Jaramillo spent two seasons at Young Harris where he worked with both the men's and women's soccer teams.
He served two seasons as assistant coach and keeper coach with the men's team at YHC, leading them to a 25-10-3 mark. They were the Peach Belt Conference Tournament champions in 2016 and the NCAA Division II Southeast Region champions in 2017.
He also served as the interim head coach for the women's team in 2017, leading the Mountain Lions to a 9-6-3 mark, 6-3-1 in the PBC. Keeper Nicole Medeiros was fourth in the PBC with a 1.20 goals-against average and third with seven shutouts. Forward Lucero Robayo and defender Sanja Ratkovic were named to the All-PBC second team.
Prior to joining the Mountain Lions in 2016, Jaramillo served as the goalkeeper coach at Palm Belt Atlantic University in 2015. The Sailfish finished the season ranked No. 5 in NCAA Division II as they went 17-2-1, won the South Region title, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II National Tournament. PBA's goalkeeper was named to the NSCAA NCAA Division II All-America second team in 2015.
Jaramillo holds an Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA and in the process of obtaining his National "C" License from the USSF. He has also served as a state ODP coach for the Florida Soccer Association and served as a head coach for the Boynton Knights FC club program.
Jaramillo earned his associate's degree in general education from Palm Beach State College in 2014. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology at Young Harris in 2018.
