Nathan Archard

Nathan Archard begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College women’s soccer team.

Archard will also begin his first season as the head coach of the women's JV team in 2015.

Prior to Young Harris, Archard served two seasons as an assistant boys varsity soccer coach at Grissom High School and a staff coach/coordinator for the United Soccer Club in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Huntsville, Alabama, native is no stranger to the Peach Belt Conference as he was a defender for the University of Montevallo men’s soccer team from 2007-10. The Falcons were ranked fourth in the country as they advanced to the semifinals of the 2007 NCAA Division II National Championship.

During his stay, Montevallo won the 2008 Gulf South Conference regular season title and the 2010 Peach Belt regular season and tournament championships. The Falcons earned their highest-ever ranking in the program’s history when they ranked No. 2 during the 2010 campaign. Archard was named to the PBC All-Tournament team in 2010 and to the 2010-11 PBC Presidential Honor Roll.

Archard earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Montevallo in 2011 and his master’s degree in sport management from the University of Alabama in 2012.

Archard holds a national diploma as well as advanced national diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and National “D” Coaching License from the United States Soccer Federation. Archard also has received Goalkeeper Level 1 and 2 certification from the NSCAA.
