Emily Ober

Emily Ober begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College women's soccer program.

Ober comes to the Enchanted Valley after serving as assistant women's soccer coach for YHC Athletics Hall of Famer Damien Westfield and the student-athlete development coordinator at Richard Bland College in Petersburg, Virginia

Prior to Richard Bland, Ober served as a graduate assistant for two seasons at NCAA Division I's University of Louisiana Monroe. She also played semi-professional soccer in the WPSL for Peachtree City MOBA in the summer of 2018 and Orlando Kicks in 2017.

The Winter Haven, Florida, native is no stranger to Young Harris as she played four seasons (2014-17) for the Mountain Lions. During her 62 matches played (55 starts), she scored 19 goals (five match-winners), assisted on six others for 44 points. She is second in the all-time YHC record books in game-winning goals, third in points, fourth in goals and tied for fourth in assists.

Ober earned her bachelor's degree in communication studies from YHC in 2018 and her master's degree in exercise science with a focus in sport management from ULM in 2019.
