 Arica Pfeil begins her first season as the assistant coach for the Young Harris College women's soccer program.

Pfeil, who will also be the head coach of the women's JV team, comes to the Enchanted Valley after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Iowa Central Community College under Lessa.

Pfeil helped lead the Tritons to a 30-8-2 record (.775 winning percentage) at the Fort Dodge, Iowa, institution. The No. 1-ranked Iowa Central went 19-1-0 in 2015 as the Tritons won the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Women's Soccer National Championship in 2015 by defeating Eastern Florida State College 1-0 in the title match. The Tritons went 11-7-2 during her first season on the sidelines in 2014 as Iowa Central advanced to the NJCAA Region 11 finals and finished the year ranked No. 20 in the nation.

Pfeil was no stranger to Iowa Central or to Lessa as she played two seasons for the Tritons in 2012 and 2013. The Tritons went 28-6-1 (.814 winning percentage) during her playing days.  Iowa Central went 13-3-1 and was ranked No. 15 nationally during her sophomore season in 2013 and played in the NJCAA Region 11  Tournament two years in a row. During her time as a Triton she was awarded named to the NJCAA All-Region 1 First Team.

The Salt Lake City, Utah native played competitive soccer for 12 years where she attended Taylorsville High School and played soccer for four years. During high school, she was a four-year starter and was appointed captain her junior and senior year. She played club soccer for the West Wind premier boy's league and Razzia FC premier, making multiple State Cup appearances. 

After graduating from Iowa Central with her associate degree in general studies, Pfeil played for the Des Moines Menace WPSL team. She also served as the co-head coach at Humboldt High School for two years and supervised training sessions for Razzia FC back in Salt Lake City. In the summer of 2015, Pfeil had an amazing experience of coaching for one week with AM Sports Tour Academy at the FIFA Women's Soccer World Cup. Pfeil holds her USSF National "E" License.
