Kasey Britt begins her second season as the assistant coach for the softball program at Young Harris College.
Last season, Britt helped lead the Mountain Lions to a 32-20 record as Young Harris earned a berth to the 2016 NCAA Divsion II Softball Tournament.

Britt comes to Young Harris after spending the past two seasons on the coaching staff at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. During her stay, the Blazers won 75 games on the diamond, including 44 in 2014 as Belhaven earned a trip to the NAIA National Softball Tournament.

Britt spent five years at the University of Central Arkansas where she played softball four years and helped the team as a student assistant during her fifth year. Â During her softball career at UCA, she was selected twice to the All-Southland Conference team and twice to the NFCA Division I All-South Region Team. Â While splitting time between first base and outfield at UCA, she is ranked in the top five in career records, including home runs, RBI, doubles, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and walks. She also ranks in the top five in seven single season categories.

A native of Richland, Mississippi, Kasey graduated from Richland High School where she was a three-time All-State Softball Team selection and played in the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star Fast Pitch game.

While at UCA, Kasey received a bachelor’s degree in health education.  She earner her master’s degree in sports administration from Belhaven.
