David Feinstein begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College men's basketball program.
Feinstein served as an assistant coach for Currier last season at Pfeiffer University. The Falcons posted a 21-4 record in their first season as an NCAA Division III institution in 2017-18. They were ranked No. 1 nationally by three different outlets (BennettRank, HERO Sports, StatGeek Analytics) and won two in-season tournaments while averaging a program-best 110 points per game. They led the NCAA in total steals (450), steals per game (18), forced turnovers (799), and turnover margin (+14.4) while also setting 10 school records.
Prior to Pfeiffer, Feinstein spent two seasons at Division I Boston University. Feinstein was hired as special assistant to head coach Joe Jones in 2015-16, as the Terriers won 19 games and earned a bid to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. Feinstein served as the video coordinator for the Terriers, in a season that saw BU win 18 games, including a 12-6 record in the Patriot League.
Prior to Boston University, Feinstein started his coaching career at his alma mater Londonderry High School, where he worked alongside New Hampshire Class L Coach of the Year Nate Stanton in leading the Lancers to an undefeated season and Class L State Championship. Feinstein helped develop New Hampshire State Class L Player of the Year Cody Ball, who now stars at NCAA Division II Saint Anselm College.
A native of Londonderry, New Hampshire, he played collegiately at Daniel Webster College under legendary coach Dave Faucher. Feinstein received his bachelor's degree in sport management from Daniel Webster and a synergy digital video editing certification from Sports Management Worldwide in Portland, Oregon.
