Victoria Carter begins her fourth season as the assistant coach for the Young Harris College competitive cheerleading program.
Carter has helped lead the Mountain Lions to the National Cheerleading Association's Collegiate Cheer Championships in each of the past three seasons. Young Harris' large coed team finished in fourth place last season after finishing in third place in 2014 and seventh place in 2013.
Carter, who has 15 years of tumbling, stunting and cheerleading experience, was captain of Young Harris' non-competitive cheerleading squad in 2010-11. While a student at YHC, Carter was treasurer for the Student Government Association and named Representative of the Year. She was a member of the 2012 Homecoming Court and was named Miss Georgia Mountains in 2010. Â
Carter, who also is the Assistant Director of Admissions at Young Harris, graduated from Young Harris in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in history. Cater is currently pursuing her Master's of Education degree from Liberty University.
