YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College took down Emmanuel University (Ga.) 3-2 in a Conference Carolinas women's soccer match Wednesday (Sept. 23) evening at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
With the win, the Mountain Lions improved to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in conference.

Faith Niebrugge opened the scoring in the ninth minute, finishing a pass from freshman
Clara Allen for her sixth goal of the season. Emmanuel answered right before halftime to tie the game at 1 going into the break.
The Mountain Lions regained the lead early in the second half when
Alessandra Brown scored off another assist from Allen in the 50
th minute. Allen then found the back of the net herself in the 57
th minute to extend the YHC advantage to 3-1.
Emmanuel responded less than a minute later, but Young Harris held on to secure the 3-2 win.
YHC controlled majority of the match, outshooting Emmanuel 19-4 with 10 shots on goal.
The Mountain Lions return to action Saturday (Sept. 26) afternoon when they travel to Tigerville, South Carolina to face North Greenville University at 1 p.m.
