YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College has announced the addition of James Daugherty to the Mountain Lions Men's Lacrosse staff as an assistant coach. 

"We could not be more excited to welcome Coach Daugherty to Young Harris," said Young Harris Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Matt Ledon. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and many years of high level experience as both an assistant and head coach. He has a passion for player development and proven track record of success as a coordinator on both sides of the ball. James is a tireless recruiter and great mentor who will bring great value to our program."

A native of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, Daugherty brings a strong background in coaching to Young Harris, having previously served as the head coach at Marian University in Wisconsin. His coaching background also includes stops as defensive coordinator at Elizabethtown College and offensive coordinator at both Washington and Lee University and Arcadia University. 

Daugherty began his collegiate coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Virginia Military Institute and later served as a graduate assistant at Widener University.

James Daugherty will begin his tenure as assistant coach immediately for this upcoming season.
