YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's basketball team has once again been recognized for its excellence in the classroom, earning the 2025-26 NABC Academic Team Distinction from the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The Mountain Lions received the honor for the fifth consecutive year after posting a 3.6 cumulative team GPA during the academic year. Young Harris also led the Southeast Region with eight student-athletes named to the NABC Honors Court, tying with North Greenville University for the most of any program in the region.

"I am extremely proud of our program and the members of our team for the work they put into the classroom," said Young Harris College Men's Basketball Head Coach Jeremy Currier. "Being recognized by the NABC as an Academic Team of Distinction for the fifth consecutive season is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the discipline, commitment, and character of our student-athletes. Their dedication to excellence extends far beyond the basketball court, and this recognition reflects the high standards they continue to uphold every day."

Representing the Mountain Lions on the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court are Brayden Baker, Cameron Bleshoy, Carl Cleveland, Christian Drummer, Roderick Gardner, Kelvin Hunter, John Maxwell, and Dylan Wolle.

The NABC Academic Team Distinction recognizes programs that achieve a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, highlighting a program-wide commitment to academic excellence alongside success on the court.
