YOUNG HARRIS, GA| Young Harris College has announced the hiring of Chandler Davis as Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Communications, Vice President for Athletics and Student Engagement Emily Carella announced.
Davis brings a strong background in social media, storytelling and statistical input to the Mountain Lions staff after serving as a graduate assistant in sports information at Georgia College and State University.
On the hiring, Emily Carella states "We are thrilled to welcome Chandler Davis to the Young Harris College Athletics family. Chandler brings a strong foundation in sports communications and a genuine passion for storytelling that will elevate how we share the achievements of our student athletes and programs. We look forward to the energy and expertise Chandler will bring to our sport communications office."
Davis, a native of Alpharetta, Georgia, joins Young Harris after serving as the sports information graduate assistant at Georgia College and State University while earning a masters degree in management information systems. Prior to GCSU, Davis earned a bachelors degree in mass communications from Southeast Missouri State University while serving as a senior staff writer and photographer for the school's newspaper. Davis brings a strong athletic background to Young Harris, playing four years of basketball at Southeast Missouri State and one year at Georgia College.
"I'm really excited for the opportunity to join the athletic department and take on this role," stated Chandler Davis. "Sports have always been a big part of my life, and I just enjoy finding ways to tell stories and create connections through athletics. This is an exciting next step for me, and I'm looking forward to learning, growing, and making a positive impact on the department and its student athletes."

Davis will officially begin her role as Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Communications on July 1, 2026.
