YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions women's soccer team overcame an early 1-0 deficit to win 5-2 on Saturday (Sept. 20) afternoon. Each goal was scored by a different player wearing all white for YH. 

The Mountain Lions advance to 3-3 overall and are 2-1 in Conference Carolinas play. The Hawks fall to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• After Abigail Simon scored the opening goal for Chowan, the Mountain Lions stormed back, with goals from Scarlett Hirschy and Kennedy Blake. 

• Taking a 2-1 lead into the half, Lauren Gauthier added a goal for YH to give the Mountain Lions a two-goal lead. 

• Laura Hulme scored for Chowan to get within one of Young Harris. 

• The Mountain Lions would clip the Hawks' wings with Sunny Bowlin-Stacy and Aslaug Bratheim scoring a goal apiece in the final 30 minutes of the match. 

• YH secured four goals from four separate bench players in the match, showcasing great depth. 

• Young Harris took 18 shots with 11 on goal, while the Hawks recorded 10 shots (8 SOG). 

• Freshman Goalkeeper Clara Williams racked up six saves for the team in all white; while two goalkeepers combined for six saves for the Hawks.
