YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College has announced the addition of Hayley Bennett to its athletic training staff as an assistant. Bennett brings experience working with athletes at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels and is eager to begin her new role with the Mountain Lions.
A native of Dublin, Georgia, Bennett most recently served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Brockton Rox Baseball Club, a member of the MLB-partnered Frontier League. In that role, she worked directly with professional athletes, managing injury prevention programs, guiding rehabilitation, and building return-to-play protocols.
Bennett earned both her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2023) and Master of Science in Athletic Training (2025) from Georgia Southern University. While completing her graduate studies, she gained valuable clinical experience through rotations at Nicholls State University (Baseball), Bryan County High School, St. Joseph/Candler Urgent Care, and Georgia Southern's softball and football programs. Through these opportunities, she developed a reputation for strong leadership, adaptability, and quality patient care.
"I am so excited to join the Young Harris Athletic Training Staff," said Bennett. "I look forward to getting to work with high level athletes and helping them develop and succeed both on and off the field. It's always rewarding seeing athletes get healthy and the work they put in to get better translating to competition. Young Harris is a great place to make a lasting impact, and I can't wait to get started!"
Bennett also holds certifications in CPR/AED-BLS and Mental Health First Aid, further strengthening the resources available to Mountain Lion student-athletes.
