YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Congratulations to women lacrosse players Riley Parker and Abbie Gallagher on being named Conference Carolinas players of the week. Their standout performances on the field led to a week of victories for the team. 

Riley Parker was named the Conference Carolinas offensive player of the week. Parker's dominating performance on the field contributed greatly to the Mountain Lions victories this past week. On April 1st, Young Harris faced the Emmanuel University's Lions and won 14-13 in an overtime frenzy. Riley Parker scored the game-winning goal and accumulated five total points plus 10 shots on goal. Her performance stayed consistent that week on April 5th, when the Mountain Lions faced the Belmont Abbey College Crusaders and won 19-17.  Riley was yet again the leading scorer of the match with six goals, seven points, and eight shots on goal. Parker's impressive performance assisted the Mountain Lions to a successful week.  

Abbie Gallagher was named the Conference Carolinas defensive player of the week. Gallagher was the Mountain Lions' guardian in the net, preventing opponents from getting the upper hand in matches. On April 1st during the overtime match against the Emmanuel University Lions, Abbie defended the goal for the entirety of the match and saved 17 shots and was rewarded the win for the game. On April 5th against the Belmont Abbey College Crusaders, Gallagher saved 16 shots and was awarded the win for the match. Abbie's focus contributed to the Young Harris College women's lacrosse team's winning streak.
