YOUNG HARRIS, GA. | Congratulations to Riley Parker of Women's Lacrosse and Jeremy Begora of Baseball on being named Mountain Lions of the Week.

Riley Parker has been an offensive weapon for the Purple & White of Women's Lacrosse all year, as this is her second time being named Mountain Lion of the Week. She led her team to a crunch-time victory in extra minutes against Emmanuel University this week. Regulation concluded with each squad having 13, and Parker shot the goal for the overtime victory. She had an outstanding five goals and 11 shots in this midweek match up. Looking at the big picture, Parker is No. 5 in goals per game in Conference Carolinas with 3.31. She also finds herself in the top five of the points/game and shots/game categories. Parker is one to watch and has the possibility of being in the running for all-conference honors.

After receiving honors from Conference Carolinas and NCBWA, Jeremy Begora is named Mountain Lion of the Week for an explosive last few games to say the least. Over the last week, Begora's bat was unstoppable as he terrorized opposing pitchers, hitting .588 (10-for-17) with 11 runs scored and 14 RBIs. The senior first baseman crushed five home runs, drew five walks, and posted an astronomical 1.471 slugging percentage alongside a .650 on-base percentage. His dominance makes him the first Conference Carolinas player to earn national recognition since March 2024 and the first position player from the league to be honored since May 2023.Against the top-ranked team in Conference Carolinas, Begora put on a show, hitting .583 over the three-game sweep with seven hits, five home runs, and 12 RBIs. His most explosive outing came in game two, where he powered Young Harris to a 10-0 victory behind a two-home run, six-RBI performance, punctuated by a grand slam in the fourth inning that put the game out of reach. With their red-hot senior slugger leading the charge, the Mountain Lions have now taken down the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in Conference Carolinas in consecutive weeks. As the postseason approaches, Young Harris is coming into shape at the right time.

Parker & Begora's offensive firepower grant them Mountain Lion of the Week honors.
