Young Harris, Ga. | Congratulations to Grace Young (Softball) and Jonny Smith (Baseball) on earning Mountain Lion of the Week honors.  
 
Grace Young had a stellar week for the Mountain Lions who are 4-2 over the course of the last seven days. She led Young Harris to three of those four wins from inside the circle, showing dominance in each start. Over the course of those three starts, she pitched a total of 15 innings, giving up just eight hits and allowing only one earned run. Young is now 11-3 on the 2025 campaign with a 4.35 ERA and 24 strikeouts. The circle wasn't the only place Young produced; she also went 6-17 (.352) at the plate over the last six games with a home run and eight RBI. 
 
On the baseball side, the Mountain Lion offense has been electric and Jonny Smith is a large reason why. Over the past four games, YH is 4-0 as Smith put forward three multi-hit performances. He also ripped two grand slams, contributing to his 12 RBI over this stretch. On the 2025 bid, Smith is currently averaging .374 at the plate with an astounding 1.040 OPS. Outside of tearing the cover off the ball, Smith continues to find his way on to the base paths with five walks over this four-game stretch. His play has been gaining some attention regionally as well, as he was named Conference Carolinas Baseball Freshman of the Month for March.
 
Two-way ability and multiple grand slams propel Young and Smith to earn Mountain Lion of the Week honors.
