YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Congratulations to Ryland Hunley and Jess Jaruszewski on being named this week's Mountain Lions of the Week!
 
Men's Track & Field athlete Ryland Hunley represented Young Harris at the Bast-Cregger Multi Invitational this past weekend. He competed in the Men's Heptathlon, a grueling seven-event challenge. Hunley is currently ranked 2^nd in the conference, and he placed 8^th overall at the meet. He delivered a well-rounded performance across all disciplines, highlighted by a 4^th place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.40m, the best finish of any Conference Carolinas competitor. 
 
Jess Jaruszewski was a standout for Young Harris Softball over the weekend. The Mountain Lions split their opening series versus Georgia College & State University this Saturday (Feb 1^st). YHC won game one 5-4 and dropped game two 4-5. Jaruszewski went 2-3 at the plate in game two, driving in all four runs for Young Harris on one swing of the bat. To keep the Mountain Lions alive, down five to nothing, Jess hammered the ball over the left field wall to put YH back within one of GCSU.
