YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris men's soccer picked up a 6-2 win over Emmanuel on Wednesday night at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field, staying unbeaten this season.
Emmanuel struck first in the 19th minute, but Young Harris answered quickly. Filip Zander tied the match in the 22nd minute off a pass from Thomas Kleinpenning, and just four minutes later, Leho Le Louarn gave YHC the lead with his first goal of the night.
After halftime, the Mountain Lions extended their advantage with goals from Philip Abda in the 48th minute and Bjarne Renner in the 54th. Le Louarn added his second in the 69th before Emmanuel scored again in the 83rd. Less than a minute later, Amin El Ghazi capped the scoring with YHC's sixth goal, assisted by Andres Simons.
Your Player of the Match was Leho Le Louarn, with two goals in the back of the net for the Mountain Lions and an assist to go along with his 69 minutes on the field.
The Mountain Lions improve to 7-0-1 overall and 6-0-0 in Conference Carolinas, while Emmanuel falls to 2-6-1 and 2-3-1 in league play.
