Rome, GA| The Mountain Lions have been on fire this year, picking up their fifth win in a row, this time beating Shorter University, 6-1 on Saturday (Feb. 24) afternoon on the road; YHC won all three doubles matches and took five of six singles matches. 

Young Harris improved to 5-2 this season and will return to action on Thursday (Feb. 29) afternoon at 1 p.m. against the University of North Georgia at the Bob and Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex in Young Harris, Georgia.  

INSIDE THE SCORE SHEET: 

• The combinations of Meghna Mallath and Emily Bush (6-1), Simone Mercier and Holly Ashford (6-4), and Catarina Marcko Ferreira and Viviana Gomez (6-3) won all three doubles matches for Young Harris. 

• Simone Mercier (6-0 and 6-3) and Emily Bush (6-4 and 6-0) dominated their singles matches for the Mountain Lions to pick up two points. 

• Luciana Bejarano (1-6, 6-2, and 10-7) took down her Shorter University opponent in three sets. 

• Viviana Gomez (6-1 and 6-2) and Catarina Marcko Ferreira (6-3 and 6-1) tallied two more points for YHC to ultimately take Young Harris to victory lane, 6-1.
