PEMBROKE, Nc. | The Young Harris College women's soccer team had their three-game win streak snapped by the undefeated (in Conference Carolinas matches) Braves. In the noon kick-off match on Saturday (Oct. 5). The Braves pressured the Mountain Lions hard for the majority of the match. The only two goals scored came from UNC Pembroke within the first nine minutes. The Mountain Lions would attack often but could not put one past the Braves goalkeeper.Â
QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH AVRAM ALLEN:
"We had our moments on the day, some bad and some good. We couldn't capitalize on the good ones and unfortunately conceded on the bad ones. Definitely not the result we wanted, but we will continue to work hard and make the adjustments to get the results we need moving forward!"
