YOUNG HARRIS, GA. Alexis Scarpinato scores two goals to give Young Harris the win over Emmanuel (Ga.) College Saturday (Sept 16
th) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. The Mountain Lions secure the first conference win in an offensive battle with Emmanuel 2-1.
The Mountain Lions move to 2-1-3 overall and 1-0 in Conference Carolinas, and the Lions move to 1-4 and 1-1 YHC will take on Erskine College in another Conference Carolinas matchup this Tuesday (Sept. 19
th) at 4pm, in Due West, SC.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Two late goals by Scarpinato seal the deal for YHC. Her goals arrived at the (60:46) and (72:07) time mark.
- Just 1:43 into the game, Jayna Gonzalez puts one in the back of the net for Emmanuel.
- The Mountain Lions out shot the Lions 17-4.
- Hannah Thompson was busy with 10 total saves for the game, Mckenna Peaster with 2.
- Chloe Schmidhuber put up 3 shots on goal.
