Francis Marion picks up 5-2 victory over YHC

FLORENCE, S.C. | Francis Marion University recorded a 5-2 Peach Belt Conference women's tennis victory over Young Harris College Saturday (March 13) afternoon at the Kassab Courts.

The Patriots improved to 3-6 overall and to 1-2 in the league, while the Mountain Lions fell to 1-7 and 0-2.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
  • Even though Francis Marion won the doubles point, YHC's Rilee Marler and Leanna Wood teammed up to win 7-6 (4) in the third flight.
  • Zoe Freke earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles for the Mountain Lions.
  • Wood claimed a 6-0. 6-0 win for Young Harris at No. 6 singles.
