Mountain Lions post 1-0 shutout over Georgia Southwestern

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Aimee Durn's goal in the 64th minute gave Young Harris College a 1-0 Peach Belt Conference women's soccer victory over Georgia Southwestern State University Sunday (Feb. 21) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

The Mountain Lions improved to 2-1-0 overall and to 2-1-0 in the PBC, while the Hurricanes fell to 0-2-0 and 0-2-0.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
  • Durn's goal - her first of the season - was a rebound of Hannah Behner's initial shot inside the six-yard box.
  • Young Harris held a 22-7 advantage on shots, including an 11-4 margin on goal.
  • In her first collegiate start in goal for the Mountain Lions, Mckenna Peaster posted her first shutout as she collected four saves.
  • Trinity Chastain had 10 saves in goal for the Hurricanes.
  • Thea Juul had seven shots for the Mountain Lions, while Durn and Jasmine Keller had four shots apiece.
