Mountain Lions fall to Lakers 1-0 in double OT

MORROW, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's soccer team concluded their 2021 season Saturday (Oct. 30) evening as they fell 1-0 to Clayton State University in a double overtime match at Laker Field.

The Lakers improve to 6-6-1 overall and 6-3-0 in the Peach Belt Conference, while the Mountain Lions saw their campaign end at 5-8-0 and 2-7-0.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

Reja Henry scored the golden goal for the Lakers off a ball from Moa Loftman and Paig Clemenson with 37 seconds to go in the match.
Clayton State outshot Young Harris 17-10 and had a 9-3 edge in corner kicks.
Pien Van Kampen recorded eight saves in goal for the Mountain Lions.
Elicia Mulvaney recorded four shots and Morgan Kasel recorded two for the Mountain Lions.
Britt Verstegen, Anika Elias, Brooke Morrison, and Ren Whitley each recorded one shot.
