YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Lincoln Memorial University recorded a 5-2 non-conference women's tennis victory over Young Harris College Sunday (Feb. 23) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Railsplitters improved to 6-1, while the Mountain Lions fell to 5-3. Young Harris will return to action Saturday (Feb. 29) with a 3:30 p.m. home match against Auburn University Montgomery.
Ana Rodriguez and
Juli Boerr teamed up to win the second flight of doubles 6-1; however, the Mountain Lions didn't win the doubles point as LMU won the other two flights.
Rodriguez won her singles match at No. 1 with a 6-4, 6-0 decision, while
Carol Quevedo secured her match at No. 2 with a three-set victory - 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-4).
