YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.  |  The Young Harris College women's tennis team picked up their third straight win with a 5-2 decision over Emmanuel (Ga.) College Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 18) at the Bob and Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Mountain Lions improved to 3-0, while the Lions fell to 0-1. Young Harris hosts the Mountain Lion Invitational Friday through Sunday (Sept. 20-22). First serve Friday is at 1 p.m., with action continuing Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.
The Mountain Lions won the doubles point after 
Teona Urushadze and 
Fatima Murphy in the No. 3 flight and 
Jing Dong and 
Ana Rodriguez in the No. 1 flight blanked their opponents 6-0.
Young Harris won four of the singles matches with 
Juli Boerr clinching the march in the No. 4 flight. Boerr won the first set 6-2 before dropping set two 7-5. She won the point with a 10-8 decision in the super tiebreaker. Dong, Rodriguez and 
Carol Quevedo earned points in singles for the Mountain Lions.
