MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Allie Matulia made seven saves, but it wasn’t enough as the Young Harris College women’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Berry College Sunday.
Young Harris (4-4-1) registered six shots in the game, while the Vikings (5-3-1) had 18. Berry had a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
After 29 minutes of scoreless action, the Vikings broke the 0-0 tie in the 30th minute as Molly Johnson scored on an unassisted goal to give Berry a 1-0 lead.
Berry kept the one-goal lead until the 60th minute as Annelyse Barker scored off an assist by Courtney Weber to push the margin to 2-0.
Rebekah Bullock finished with two saves in goal for the Vikings.
