YOUNG HARRIS – A late first-half goal was the difference as the Young Harris College men’s soccer team fell Saturday afternoon to Lambuth, 1-0, at the YHC Soccer Field.
The Eagles (7-3-2) took advantage of a long pass by Daniel Ericsson in the 33rd minute as Juan Garzon found the back of the net in what proved to be the game-winning goal.
Wezley Barnard finished with six saves for the Mountain Lions (2-6-4), while Conor Hurley had five for Lambuth.
The Eagles out-shot the Mountain Lions, 14-12, and had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Young Harris returns to action 7:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 23 in Morrow, Ga., against Peach Belt Conference opponent Clayton State University.
