Mathew Biwott has been named the Male Mountain Lion of the Week ending Oct. 18.

Biwott captures his second weekly award of the 2015 season after finishing third at the Berry Invitational with an 8K time of 25:56.2. The sophomore from Iten, Kenya, finished four seconds out of the lead and three seconds behind Georgia Tech's Christian Bowles in second in the 154-runner meet. His efforts helped the Mountain Lions to a third-place finish in the non-DI portion of the field, which featured 13 teams. The top-three finish is the third this season for Biwott, who has not finished outside of the top 10 in any race he has run this year.
