Nancy Murgor has been named the Female Mountain Lion of the Week ending Oct. 18.

Murgor Murgor tied a Peach Belt Conference record with her fourth weekly honor in one season as she ran a personal best at the Berry Invitational.  The freshman from Iten, Kenya, finished second at the 179-runner meet with a 6K time of 22:08.80, the second-fastest 6k run in the PBC - just two seconds off the top mark.  Murgor finished 19 seconds behind Georgia State University's Stephanie Berger for the title and ahead of runners from Georgia Tech, Jacksonville State University and Georgia State.  Her efforts helped the Mountain Lions to a second-place finish in the 15-team college division.  She becomes the second PBC women's cross country student-athlete to be named a Runner of the Week four times in one season, joining Clayton State University's Allison Kreutzer who did it in 2008.
