Nancy Murgor has been named the Female Mountain Lion of the Week ending Sept. 27.
Murgor Murgor, who was named the Peach Belt Conference AstroTurf Runner of the Week for a second time in 2015, Â led the Mountain Lions, who are ranked No. 9 in the latest USTFCCCA Division II Southeast Regional rankings, as continued her barrage of top-five finishes.
Murgor was third at the Wingate Bulldog Stampede Saturday (Sept. 26). Â The freshman from Iten, Kenya, covered the 6k course in 22:53.7, finishing third overall in the 160-runner field. Â She finished just three seconds behind leader Haylee Love of Anderson (S.C.) University in a sprint to the line. Â Murgor has not finished lower than third in any race she has run in her freshman season.
