Young Harris College Athletics

Jonas Sturesson has been named the Men's Mountain Lion of the Week ending Sept. 20.

Sturesson, a 6-foot-0 senior defender from Kalmar, Sweden, guided the Mountain Lion defense to a 4-1 win over the University of North Georgia in the PBC opener - YHC's 19th straight regular-season conference win.  The YHC defense held the Nighthawks to just seven total shots in the game, five of those on goal.  Sturesson also scored the game-winning goal – his first goal of the year - to open the second half in a game that was tied at the half.  The Young Harris defense is currently third in the PBC with a 0.90 team goals-against average.
