TAMPA, Fla. – Young Harris College men's soccer players
Lewis Hilton and
Paco Craig have been named to the Premier Development League All-Conference Teams.
The teams were selected through a vote of team management.
Hilton and Craig helped lead the Ocala Stampede to the semifinals of the PDL Championship before they were eliminated by the New Red Bulls U23 team 2-1 in overtime.
Hilton, a 5-foot-8 senior midfielder from Newquay, England, had four goals and three assists as he helped the Stampede claim their fourth consecutive division title, while Craig, a 6-2 junior defender from London, England, was also named after leading Ocala in minutes played as he provided a consistent presence at the back. Hilton was one of six players on the all-conference team to be honored for a second consecutive season.
The Mountain Lions, who advanced to the quarterfinals of last year's NCAA Division II Tournament, will open their season Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. when they host Saint Leo University at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
