YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College Director of Athletics
Randy Dunn has announced that
Danielle Horoschak has stepped down as head coach of the Mountain Lion women's lacrosse program to pursue other opportunities.
"I want to thank Coach Horoschak for her service and commitment to the women's lacrosse program over the past two years," said Dunn. "Her contributions helped YHC win two Gulf South Conference regular season and postseason tournament titles in 2016 and 2017."
Horoschak joined the Mountain Lions in the spring of 2016 as an assistant coach. Young Harris went 13-5 and captured the inaugural GSC regular season and postseason titles last year. Horoschak took over the coaching reign for the Mountain Lions last season and guided Young Harris to a 12-7 ledger. The Mountain Lions went 7-1 in the Gulf South this spring as YHC earned a share of the regular season title and then went on to win its second consecutive GSC Invitational Tournament title, defeating the University of Alabama in Huntsville 16-12 in the championship match.
A national search will be conducted for Horoschak's replacement.
